My Blog is Bugging Me

In honor of the 2nd episode of the new season of Monk to air tomorrow night, I must tell you that my blog is bugging me for several reasons. (If you've never watched Monk - the obsessive compulsive detective, it's definitely worth staying up late on Friday nights for)

1. I know it's not able to be viewed properly in IE. I think everyone should use Mozilla Firefox but I don't have control over that so it bothers me that someone is seeing my links all cockeyed on the side.
2. Yesterday's Thursday Thirteen was in Courier font. I couldn't figure out how to change the font, even in the "Edit HTML" view.
3. Some of the link sections are totally left justified; others are over a tad to the right. Grrr. I have not been able to figure that one out. I've compared my old template to my new one and I can't see where the alignment changes.

Speaking of Monk, is it me, or does everyone get noticeably more obbsessive compulsive as they get older? Is it just me or does everyone:
1. Feel the urge to straighten the shopping carts in the return corral?
2. Hate touching handrails and doorknobs in public? (Our company has signs in the stairwells "Think Safety, Use the Handrails" - I always say "Think Sanitary - Who touched them?")
3. Need to finish reading the chapter before they can put the book down for the night?

I could go on but it's getting late and I must finish on an odd number!

Ok...not sure what Monk is (Ok, so maybe I'm out of the current happenings a bit...) but thought your obsessive questions were so funny!
Yep, that's me...my eyes are can be as heavy as rocks, but hey...only 5 and a half pages to go...;)

It's okay to finish on an odd number as long as it's "3." I read somewhere that having lists of 3 actually is subconsciously pleasing to the reader, so it's all good! :)

I am completely with you on the handrails and am particularly uptight about escalator rails. I even completely buck the system by telling my 7-yr-old, "Don't touch that! Just stand still on the escalator!" Meanwhile other moms are urging their kids to hold the sides to be safe.

And as you know, I love Monk as well. He makes me feel so much more normal. :)

I don't know what monk is but my site has been a bit wonky lately too! I'm getting some posts that will give me no paragraph spaces. Thanks, to Callapiddar Days who told me to go into edit HTML and manually add the symbol, but why do I have to do that? That's really taxing my computer illiterate self having to figure this stuff out! :)
Ya, and as we get older I definitely think we pick up shall we say little habits that bring us comfort?!

Well, this is coming from someone whose husband calls her "Mrs Monk" :)

I'm totally with you on the handrails, and I have a big thing about the bathroom door in public places. I see SO many people leave and not wash their hands, and I always think, I just washed my hands and I am still going to have to touch that door and get all their nasty where-have-my-hands-been germs. As odd as it looks, sometimes I use the paper towel (if they have them and not just the hand dryers) and open the door, then try to toss it in the garbage can in a public restroom. Granted, logistically it doesn't always work, but a girl's gotta try!

And WOW, I thought it was just me who wanted to read till the end of a chapter till I put my book down! I hate to stop in the middle of a page, even though I am religious about using a bookmark.

Yes, that's me, Mrs. Monk! :)

I am NOT with you all on the compulsiveness. I sit on public toilet seats, touch handrails, and don't straighten anything.

I do love Firefox, though. I just started using it within the month and it's great, so you look beautiful and perfect to me!

The courier font on the T13 might've been embedded in the template??
