Book tag

Gail tagged me for a different meme and so I decided to play along. I actually had no books within arms reach when I read this yesterday.  By the way, Gail is a gifted seamstress; I'm sure you'd agree if you're ever luck enough to catch a picture of some of her work on her blog!

Here are the rules/requirements:
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fourth sentence.
3. Post the text of the following 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the author and book.
5. Tag three people of your own.

The first book I picked up did not have 123 pages - how do you like that? I'm trying anxiously to finish this other book so I can return it to the person who lent it to me, so I'll use this one..

"He is the only one who can do that. No one will ever seek after God unless God is at work in his life. Many people who have begun applying this understanding to their witnessing have found great freedom."
Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby and Claude King.

I'll make this an open tag too. If you're having a hard time coming up with something to post, why not share a bit from something you're reading?

Fun that you played along Dianne! I did the Experiencing God study a while back, probably should redo it at some point. It's interesting to read these excerpts from people's books.

Aw, thanks for the sweet comment about my sewing, it's fun for me to do the embroidery but the machine is the smart one then!

I really like this meme. Gives an inkling into what is reading and I'm finding gets my curiosity going for a book. Or plain just makes me go "HUH?" :v) Mines up too!

So glad you played along, this was a no-brainer kind of meme (I did it and tagged Miss Gail, my lovely sister who is a great seamstress, you're so right!). I love those kind some time, where I don't have to think too hard!

I love reading the excerpts too, and loved your suggestion of posting a bit from something I'm reading. Hope to do that soon, great idea :)

I played, too. I must admit that my books (yes, I had to go to two) weren't too interesting, though!
