Change of Venue

I was going to title this post "Going Dark" or perhaps "Thanks for the Ride." But a change of venue is really what I'm after, although how that will play out is beyond me. Change of venue implies the show will go on, just not here, not now. And it's God's show anyways - something I'm becoming increasingly more aware of on a daily basis.

So for the time being, I'm hanging up the blogging shoes. It's not where I want to be or what I want to be doing right now. And if I do it, this is not how I want to be doing it. It took a week at the beach to come to this conclusion but just one day back to come to peace with that decision.

It really has been great. Thanks to all of you who've stopped by and read. To those who've taken time to comment both on the blog and in person, and especially those of you with whom I've enjoyed some great email exchanges, my deepest appreciation. You know where to find me.

So this is my last post here for now but so as to not make an abrupt departure, I'll leave things as they are for a few days. Blessings!

I am sorry to see you go as well, but hope that you might be back.

It sounds like you might be focusing on writing in other venues?

I too found that it was hard to blog (well) and write. I've actually come to the conclusion that I'm okay with what I'm doing online for now.

Keep in touch!

Aww, I'm sorry to see you go, I love reading what you write! But totally understand, it gets hard to keep up with at times. I'm glad you feel good about it and hope the next season is great!

Ah, Dianne. You know that I commiserate with you on this. You know that I have had the same temptation for quite awhile now, and even as I read this I am tempted to follow suit.

I DO know where to find you.

Blessings as God reveals His will to you, and as you follow obediently as always.

You know I will miss seeing your posts, "hearing" your voice, pondering what you have to share... But I understand and will be praying for you, friend, and for your change of venue.

I'm thankful for the connection it gave us, to meet in the first place. You are a real gem, and I'm thankful for finding you here, and for the friendship we'll continue beyond this.

Sniff, sniff. I'm so very sorry to see your blog go dark, and I will miss you, my friend. Hope the change of venue and pace work well for you, in all that you hope and dream for come true. Just don't abandon your email address, ok?! :)

All the best in the world to you, Dianne. I hope you see your dream come true - you're such an excellent writer. And I so respect you for doing what you know in your heart is the best thing for you.

I'll always treasure the memory of you sending that big box of books to Rob (and me) right after his shoulder surgery. I knew then, you're just a great, great person.

My sister Bev is so lucky to actually go to church with you and know you in real life. I'll live vicariously through her. :-)

Enjoy yourself! And I'm going to overlook that remark about the week at the beach. Sigh....

You will be missed! But the great thing about blogging is that you can always return. And if you do, be sure to look me up and let me know.

Oh Dianne, I'm gonna miss you and your unique and often, not so unique thoughts on life and God and Christianity and all the other miscellanous isses you so bravely and openly share.

I applaud you on your decision to listen to the stirrings within and follow where God and your heart leads you.

Enjoy the journey to your new place. Throw your heart into the work it will entail and savor the discoveries you will no doubt encounter.

I hope that at some point you will share with us, your Unfinished Work readers, snippets of your experiences. Based on your unique incite, that you have been sharing in your blog, I have no doubt that your thoughts on your new adventures will be enlightening and a blessing to us as well.

God speed Dianne, may His blessings follow you and fill your life as you embark on this new journey.
