Long shot -- potatoes are the number four food crop in the world, I think. (International Year of the Potato - gotta love it).

Hey! There are 4 steps to making the BEST scalloped potatoes in the world. If people discovered this, as I did years ago when my mother-in-law made these for me EVERY TIME I CAME TO HER HOUSE because she knew they were my favorite, the potatoe would quickly morph into a majic food to not only help you gain weight but cause you to crave ham.
1. Peel, wash and slice potatoes
2. Layer with diced ham and Velveeta cheese (can you say fattening?)
3. Dot with some chunks of butter, sprinkle with pepper and paprika to give it a lovely color.
4. Bake in oven at 350 to 400 for about 45 mins to an hour, or until a fork goes through the middle, revealing tender potatoes.
OR ... bake in the baking cycle of the microwave for considerably less time.
Step five would be to eat it, but that comes pretty naturally.

HINT: it has nothing to do with potatoes! ;) Maybe I didn't do a good job with the clues. Think outside the box a bit!
